El Paso, TX -- A solid start by Osvaldo Rodriguez leads the Lemurs to the an 8-1 victory over the El Paso Diablos on Thursday night at Cohen Stadium in El Paso, Texas.

His counterpart, Reyes Dorado, faired pretty well only giving up three runs, on four hit,s in 5.1 innings pitched. However, his teammates did not help out much with run support only putting up one run on the board.

Mitch Einertson and Fernando Valenzuela Jr. led the otherwise stagnant Diablos' lineup with two hits each. Zane Chavez knocked in the only run in the game for El Paso on a groundout.

For the Lemurs, Stephen Pearson and Palmer Karr Jr. each contributed two RBI and scored a run. Pearson hit an RBI double in the eighth inning and Karr Jr. hit a solo home-run in the top of the ninth. Jimmy Mojica and Uriak Marquez each also had a RBI. Eight of the nine hitters in the Lemurs lineup came across the plate.
