El Paso Diablos News Release

EL PASO, TX- Former Diablo Osvaldo Rodriguez threw six strong innings, limiting the Diablos to just one run on four hits as the Laredo Lemurs salvaged the final game of a three-game series at Cohen Stadium, winning 8-1.

The Diablos also hurt themselves, committing four errors and not taking advantage of several opportunities with runners in scoring position.

Reyes Dorado (1-3) took the loss depsite allowing zero earned runs over five and a third innings. All four Diablos errors led to Lemurs runs in some way, and the club had its three-game winning streak snapped.

Palmer Karr Jr., another former Diablo, hit a ninth inning home run as Laredo scored four runs over the final two innings to solve the victory away and snap a three-game skid.

The Diablos will begin a three-game series at home against the Sioux City Explorers on Friday night. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. (MST).
