The Oklahoma RedHawks scored three runs in the first inning and led the rest of the way Monday night in a 5-2 victory over the Memphis Redbirds at AutoZone Park.

Oklahoma has started this 12-game trip 5-0 and has won six of seven and 12 out of 14. At 32-32, the RedHawks have reached .500 for the first time since being 7-7 after a win April 19.

RedHawks lefty Fabio Castro wiggled out of a first-inning jam in his first Triple-A start, allowing one run but stranding runners at second and third. Castro, in his first Oklahoma rehab appearance, pitched 3 2/3 innings, allowing both Memphis runs. Kelvin Jimenez (3-1) followed with 2 1/3 scoreless innings for the win. Jose Diaz added two scoreless innings, with lefty C.J. Wilson pitching a perfect ninth for his second save.

Joaquin Arias went 2-for-3 with two walks, a triple and two RBIs to lead a 10-hit RedHawks offense. Adam Hyzdu and Jason Hart added first-inning RBIs off Memphis starter Dennis Tankersley, who took the loss to fall to 2-7.

Game two of the series is Tuesday at 7:10 p.m. at AutoZone Park in a matchup of lefties, Derek Lee for Oklahoma and Chris Narveson for Memphis.
