MEMPHIS, TN - Memphis hit four home runs en route to an 8-1 win over Oklahoma City at AutoZone Park Friday night.

The Redbirds wasted no time jumping on Hawks starter Brett Olberholtzer for five runs in the first inning, including back-to-back home runs by Zack Cox and Ryan Jackson. Steven Hill extended the 'Birds' lead to 6-0 in the third with the third homer while Mark Hamilton's pinch-hit two-run dinger in the seventh capped the Redbirds scoring on the night. This is the second time Memphis has hit four home runs in a game. Mike Hessman drove in the RedHawks' only run on the night grounding into a double play to send Jimmy Paredes home.

Memphis starter Shelby Miller pitched six solid scoreless innings in his fifth win on the season, scattering four hits while fanning three. Oberholtzer took the loss for Oklahoma City surrendering six runs on seven hits while striking out seven across six innings of work.

The 'Birds and the Hawks play tomorrow with game time slated for 6:05 p.m. Tomorrow is Superhero and Comic Night. Catwoman, Star Wars figures and other characters will be making appearances at AutoZone Park presented by Coors Light. Catwoman will be throwing out the first pitch and caricature artists will be located in the front plaza, club level and the Boardwalk during the game.
