
Red Wings Assign Hanas to Portland

Portland, Ore. - The Portland Winterhawks, proud member club of the Western Hockey League, shared today that the Detroit Red Wings have assigned forward Cross Hanas to the Rose City for the upcoming 2021-22 season.
Hanas, 19, participated as a member of Detroit's prospect tournament team and then the team's first days of training camp this month. The native of Highland Village, TX was selected in the second round of 2020 NHL Draft (#55 overall) by the Red Wings.
Over three seasons with the 'Hawks, the left-handed winger has totaled 75 points in 133 games.

The Portland Winterhawks begin their 46th season of play on October 1 and will host Seattle on October 2 for the team's Pacific Office Automation home opener.
