January 18, 2016 - NBA G League (G League)
Maine Celtics News Release

Grand Rapids, MI - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Unum, lost their season-high fourth straight game, falling to the Grand Rapids Drive, 128-119 Monday night. Devin Ebanks scored 43 points, the second-highest scoring output in the D-League this season, and added 14 rebounds for the Drive.

The Red Claws (12-11) were led by Omari Johnson, who scored all 21 points in the first half. Terry Rozier, on assignment from the Boston Celtics, finished with 20 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals, while R.J. Hunter, also on assignment from the Celtics, added 18 points and 6 rebounds. Malcolm Miller scored 20 points for Maine, and Levi Randolph provided 19 points off the bench.

It was a tale of two halves. The Red Claws came out with hot shooting, specifically Johnson, who buried 6 of 7 three pointers in the first two quarters. After scoring only 24 points in the second half of their previous game, the Red Claws held a comfortable 69-59 lead.

Ebanks and the Drive caught fire in the second half. Grand Rapids' constant trips to the foul line aided in erasing the deficit, and Grand Rapids took an 89-88 lead into the fourth quarter. Grand Rapids shot 45 free throws (34-45), most by an opponent this season.

Ebanks, Spencer Dinwiddie and Dahntay Jones continued the surge for the Drive. Grand Rapids extended to a double-digit lead, and despite some late three pointers by Rozier and Hunter, Maine couldn't overcome the deficit. Grand Rapids shot 52% from the field (43-83), while Maine shot 43% (37-86).

The Red Claws' busy week continues Wednesday morning, when Maine faces Canton at 11 a.m. The Claws return home on Friday and Saturday for 7 p.m. showdowns with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. Tickets are on sale by calling 207-210-6655 or visiting MaineRedClaws.com.
