
Bighorns Finish off Blue with a Strong Second Half

RENO, NV - With the Bighorns outscoring the Oklahoma City Blue in three quarters and the Bighorns totaling 22 three pointers, the Bighorns defeated the Blue 133-120 Sunday Night at the Reno Events Center.
Erick Green led the Bighorns with 30 points and four rebounds. David Stockton netted 24 points, grabbed nine rebounds and added seven assists. Vince Hunter totaled 24 points, seven rebounds, three assists and four blocked shots in the Sunday night contest.
Hunter led the Bighorns in the first quarter with 10 points and two rebounds. Green tallied eight points and two rebounds in the quarter as Ricky Ledo notched six points, two rebounds and one assist.
Reggie Hearn scored 11 points and added two rebounds in the second quarter as Stockton counted six points and three assists. Cliff Hammonds had eight points in the quarter. The Bighorns shot 61.5% from the three-point range in the second quarter compared to the Blue shooting 33.3% from the three-point range.
The Bighorns had the edge over the Blue at the half with a 69-68 lead.
Stockton led the Bighorns in the third quarter with 10 points and four rebounds. Green scored nine points in the quarter as Chad Toppert scored six points. The Bighorns outscored the Blue 36-28 in the third.
During the final quarter, Green notched eight points while Hunter tallied six points, grabbed two rebounds and blocked three shots. Ledo scored five points in the fourth.
The Bighorns went 18-36 (50 percent) from the field in the second half compared to the Blue going 18-47 (38.3 percent) from the field.
The Bighorns return to the Reno Events Center Monday, Jan. 18 at 7 P.M. to again host the Blue. In honor of the Bighorns being number in the Pacific Division, the Bighorns will offer one dollar tickets at the Reno Events Center Box office as well as two dollar beers at the concession stands.
