
Canton Tops Erie for Seventh Straight Win

The Canton Charge (12-11), presented by SecureData 365 and powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, took down the Erie BayHawks (9-13), 111-95, on Monday afternoon in Erie. The victory was Canton's seventh-straight, tying a franchise record, and put them above .500 for the first time this season.
Quinn Cook led the six Charge players in double figures by scoring 19 points on 6-of-13 shooting with five assists in 34 minutes. John Holland scored 16 points and grabbed three steals in 25 minutes. Jon Horford scored 15 points and grabbed five boards, while Antoine Agudio scored 14 points. Michael Dunigan added 12 points, eight rebounds, and three blocks in 19 minutes off the bench.
The Charge started the game on a 13-2 run and led the entire afternoon by as many as 30. Canton scored 41 points on 13-of-21 shooting in the first (62%) for their highest scoring single quarter this season. The Charge forced five Erie turnovers resulting in 12 points in the first while not surrendering the ball once.
Canton led by as many as 21 in the second after heading into the half with a 63-42 advantage, assisting on 15 of 21 field goals. The visitors were especially efficient from distance, hitting 8-of-15 three-pointers in the opening half (53%). The Charge got to the line 18 times in the first half to Erie's three.
The Charge finished with a season best in three point efficiency for a game after nailing 25-of-27 (56%). Erie got to the foul line 28 times in the second half, but never got within single digits of Canton's lead. The seven game winning streak matches the longest in franchise history, set in March of 2012 during the inaugural season.
For Erie, Alex Davis led all scorers with 23 points and 12 rebounds. John Jordan came off the bench to hit 7-of-11 shots for 17 points. Tyler Harvey added 10 points and three steals in 29 minutes off the bench,
