Rebels Trade Barteaux To ICE

RED DEER, AB - Brent Sutter, General Manager/Head Coach of the Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club, announced today a trade with the Winnipeg ICE. The Rebels traded 19-year old defenceman Dawson Barteaux, a 5th round selection in the 2020 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft and a 6th round bantam pick in 2023 to the ICE in exchange for a 2nd round selection in the WHL Bantam Draft in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023, as well as a 5th round pick in the 2021 WHL Bantam Draft and a conditional 3rd round WHL Bantam pick in 2023.

Dawson Barteaux is in his fourth year in the WHL, he's played 213 (194 with Red Deer, 19 with Regina) games, scoring 17 goals and 76 assists for 93 points. He was originally a 1st round WHL Bantam selection of the Regina Pats in the 2015 Draft. He was selected by the Dallas Stars in the 6th round in the 2018 National Hockey League Draft.
