Royals Hockey History Tonight, Olivier Labelle, who scored his all-time career leading 120th goal as a Royal on Tuesday (120g-122a$2pts), will play his 278th game as a Royal, tying Ryan Cruthers for the all-time lead in that category. Perhaps ironically, Labelle is on track to pass Cruthers tomorrow evening when Cruthers will become the twelfth inductee into the Royals Wall of Honor.
Also tonight, Ian Watters will play in his 182nd career game as a Royal (18g- 54a=72pts, 198 PIMs), which is nine games short of Bryant Molle, who is fourth on the all-time games played list.
(Yannick Tifu is currently third in that category with 245 games as a Royal.) Also climbing up that ladder is Todd Perry, who tonight is expected to play his 173rd game with the Royals (8g-38aFpts, 223 PIMs), which is seventh most all time be- hind Reagan Rome, who was himself in- ducted into the Wall of Honor in 2010. UPCOMING GAMES AND PROMOTIONS

HEIDELBERG COUNTRY CLUB SHOT OF GAME Bigger and Better... This Sunday, the Royals will give away the James Reimer Mini-Locker Room to the kids, and the team couldn't have picked a better moment because last week he was named the Mei-Gray Group ECHL Alumnus of the Month for his recent play with the Florida Panthers of the NHL, where he went 4-2-0 -0 with a 2.08 GAA and .929 save percentage in the month of Febru- ary-although he did fall in a shootout to the Flyers last night. Reimer, who began his pro career with the Royals in 2008 (on assignment from the To- ronto Maple Leafs) played 22 games for Reading (10- 7-3, 3.30, .904) that year, has now appeared in 243 NHL games with Toronto, San Jose, and Florida. - Tonight, the Royals kick off the Month of March with the front end of a two-game set against the Manchester Mon- archs. This is the eighth of ten games between the two teams this season. So far the Monarchs have dominated the season series, winning six of the prior seven; but the Royals (1-5-0-1) won the last time these two teams faced off (6-3)-here at Santander Arena on January 29. - Reading is coming off a 4-3 win in Elmira on Tuesday night.
The team only had to play 46:07 of hockey that night. The first 13:53 of that game was played back on February 17, when the game was halted due to ice conditions at First Are- na in Elmira. The Royals actually bagged two goals back on February 17 and then added two more on Tuesday to take a 4 -0 lead to the third period against the Jackals. But from that point forward, Reading had to hold on for dear life to hold off the hard charging Jackals who came up with three in the third; but the Royals came away with the two points. - The Jackals continued their recent surge in the first period of Tuesday's game against Manchester, bagging back-to-back goals and then holding off a hot push by the Monarchs- thanks in no small part to a spectacular performance by goal- tender Andy Iles-to beat Manchester for the fourth time (2- 1) and hand the Monarchs their second consecutive loss. - Ryan Penny scored a pair of goals in the Royals most recent win-bagging the team's second goal (10:11 into the first period-back on February 17) and notching what proved to be the game winner 16:28 into the second period on Tues- day. For Penny, that marked his first multi-goal game as a Royal and his ninth multi-point performance of the season. - On Tuesday, Olivier Labelle stretched the Royals lead to 3-0 with his nineteenth goal of the season 1:43 into the second period. Labelle is amongst a group of four Royals who lead team with nineteen goals. The others are: Chris McCarthy (who is currently recalled to Lehigh Valley in the AHL), Rob- bie Czarnik, and Ryan Penny. - Derik Johnson, who recorded his first multi-point perfor- mance of the season on Tuesday (0g-2a) and played to a plus -3 (+3) in that game, is riding a three game assist streak (4a). - Matt Willows, who has registered a least in one assist in the last three straight games (0g-4a), has twenty-nine points (12g-17a) in thirty games this season with Reading. - The Royals power play, which was blanked in 5 chances with the man advantage (which included 42 seconds of five-on- three) on Tuesday, has gone 4 for 40 in the last ten games.
