Reading Fightin Phils News Release

The Reading Fightin Phils dropped game number three 5 to 3 to the Erie SeaWolves on a rainy Thursday night. Daniel Brito and Josh Stephen had multi-hit games for Reading.

In his first at bat, Brito tripled to right field. He then followed it up with a double and a single. Brito flirted with a ball deep to center field, but was just shy of a home run for the cycle.

The Fightins scored their first runs of the night in the third inning a two-run double to plate Sal Gozzo and Brito.

The teams only other run came off Brito's bat in the top of the fourth to score Arquimedes Gamboa.

Reading's defensive kept the game tight the entire time as they made impressive outs behind their pitchers.

Julian Garcia took the first three innings allowing seven this and four runs. After the long rain delay, the starter turned the ball over to Nick Lackney. Lackney went three innings of work recording three this and one earned run. Austin Ross followed out of the bullpen pitching a clean two frames.
