
Rays Raise Money For CMN On Comcast Bobble Head Night This Saturday

Fundraising with the Rays:
Fans, don't forget that next up for the Stingrays Fundraising Campaign is Children's Miracle Network Night at the Rays next home game on Saturday, March 15th. The Rays have teamed up with Kraft, Wal-Mart, Frito Lay, Pepsi and Coke to raise money for CMN. The Stingrays will be holding a raffle auction for the specialty game worn jerseys with tickets costing $1 each. The raffle will conclude at the end of the 2nd intermission with all proceeds going to CMN. Fans can purchase individual tickets to the game by logging onto www.stingrayshockey.com and clicking on the "Special Ticket Codes" button on the left. Just enter the code "macncheese" to purchase your ticket and $4 from each online ticket will go back to CMN. Fans will have until this Friday, March 14th to purchase their tickets online. Community Update:
With just one week left before Hat Trick for Reading, the players are attending their final schools. James Island Elementary, Windsor Hill Elementary and Knighstville Elementary will all have players at their schools this week.
Hat Trick for Reading Night will also be Education Appreciation Night. All teachers, faculty, and staff can purchase a discounted ticket to the game by calling Ashley Hoffman at 744-2248 x1204.
The entire team will be visiting Windwood Farms on Tuesday, March 11th at 1pm. The players will be visiting with the different classes there to talk about how they became a hockey player and what they do as a hockey player.
The Stingrays will be holding a blood drive, courtesy of the American Red Cross, before the game on Friday, March 21st. The American Red Cross will be out at the Coliseum beginning at 3pm for those who want to donate.
Latest in Hockey News:
The Stingrays traveled to Columbia to play the Inferno on Saturday night. Todd Griffith had a goal and an assist in his Stingrays debut and Chris Chaput added on two more goals as the team burned the Inferno 6-3. Davis Parley recorded the win in net.

The Hershey Bears sent Travis Morin back down to the Stingrays on Saturday before the Rays played Columbia and then called up Steve Pinizzotto.

ECHL Leaders:
Travis Morin, who returned to the Rays before Saturday's game, is 6th in the league in scoring with 66 points (29g-37a) in 57 games. His 29 goals ties him for fourth in the league, his 225 shots is 4th in the league and he leads the league with six short-handed goals and short-handed points.
Grant McNeill has the league lead in minor penalties with 70 in 53 games. His 195 penalty minutes is first among defensemen and 11 major penalties is 4th, behind teammate Nate Kiser, with 12. Kiser also leads the league with four short-handed assists.
Cail MacLean has 13 power play goals this year, 4th in the ECHL.
In goalie news, Davis Parley is 10th among goalies with a 2.55 goals-against average.
Among rookies, the Stingrays continue to have two of the top-20 point scorers. Travis Morin is 3rd with 66 points, and Pierre-Luc O'Brien's is 14th with 48 points. Morin's 29 goals also places him 2nd and O'Brien's 38 assists is 5th.
The Stingrays are in 3rd place in the South Division with 77 points, two points behind the Gwinnett Gladiators, and are in 4th place in the American Conference.
The Stingrays are 7th in the power play, converting 20.4% of the time, and 10th in the penalty kill, successful 84.0% of the time.
