
Rays Announce First Round Home Playoff Dates

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays announced today the dates for the home games for the first round of the 2008 Kelly Cup Playoffs. The team will begin the first round, best-of-five series on the road, will return to the North Charleston Coliseum on Monday, April 14 for Game 3, and will play Game 4 and Game 5, if necessary, on Tuesday, April 15 and Wednesday, April 16 respectively. All home games for the first round will begin at 7:05 p.m.
Tickets for Game 3 will go on sale tomorrow, April 3 at the North Charleston Coliseum Box Office and through Ticketmaster beginning at 10 a.m.
In other Stingrays news, with the 6-0 win last night over the Augusta Lynx, Head Coach Jared Bednar tied the Stingrays record for most regular season wins, with 45. The record was originally set by Rick Vaive during the 1996-97 season. Bednar has two more games to set the new record, beginning on Friday, April 4 when the team faces the Charlotte Checkers on the road at 7:30 p.m.
