Chiefs Bolster Lineup with Ohio State Standout Domenic Maiani

Johnstown, PA - The Johnstown Chiefs announced today that they signed rookie forward Domenic Maiani.

A forward with Ohio State for three seasons, Maiani proved to be a dynamic offensive talent. His best season was his freshman campaign in 2004-05. That season, Maiani posted 34 points on 12 goals and 22 assists in 39 games, and was named an honorable mention for the CCHA All-Rookie Team. His final two seasons produced 38 points with 13 goals and 25 assists in 54 games.

Prior to his collegiate career, Maiani spent two seasons with the Sioux City Musketeers of the USHL. From 2002 to 2004, the native of Shelby Township, Michigan played in 104 games and amassed 24 goals and 40 assists. In 2003-04, Maiani's final season with Sioux City, he finished second on the team with 17 goals and 28 assists.

Maiani will be in uniform tonight when the Chiefs take on the Reading Royals at 6:35 PM at the Sovereign Center in Reading.

The Chiefs will take to the ice at the War Memorial on Friday, April 4 against the Wheeling Nailers for the final time this regular season. Faceoff is set for 7:05 PM, and the Chiefs will be holding their Fan Appreciation Day where there will be numerous giveaways throughout the night.
