Dayton Bombers News Release

April 3, 2008

Dayton, OH- The Dayton Bombers have announced today that Co-owner and General Manager, Don MacAdam has sold his ownership shares back to the team in order to pursue new challenges. MacAdam will complete the regular season and playoff schedule with the Bombers and serve as team consultant for player recruiting.

Team President and owner, Costa Papista, states: "Don did an incredible job of rebuilding the hockey side of the organization in three short years. Reaching the ECHL Kelly Cup finals last season, hiring head coach Bill McDonald and earning a second consecutive playoff berth can be attributed to Don's dedication and hockey expertise. "

Don MacAdam states: "I have enjoyed my time and experience in Dayton. Costa and I have always believed in Dayton as a community that can support professional hockey. Dayton has a rich hockey tradition and the Bombers are in good hands to take the next logical step, which will include local investment."

Local participation will give the community an opportunity to participate in a great winter entertainment resource and has been part of the Papista / MacAdam plan since taking over a struggling operation in the summer of 2004.

Head Coach, Bill McDonald, will assume the role of Hockey Operations Director effective at the conclusion of the Bombers' post season play. McDonald has been coaching and recruiting at the professional level for the past twenty seasons and has four championships under his belt.

The Dayton Bombers have been playing in the Miami Valley for (17) consecutive seasons and are Dayton's official "AA" professional hockey team. The Bombers are a member of the ECHL which prides itself as the premier "AA" hockey league in North America. The league's focus is on player development for the "AAA" American Hockey League and ultimately, the NHL (National Hockey League).
