February 10, 2004 - ECHL (ECHL)
South Carolina Stingrays News Release
NORTH CHARLESTON, SC South Carolina Stingrays President Taylor Lee announced two additions to the team's front office staff today. The Stingrays added James Helm as Game Operations and Sales Manager and Patrick Sullivan as Ticket Sales Manager. Both additions have already started to work in the team's office.
"We are very excited about adding two quality people to our sales staff," explained Lee. "Both Patrick and James bring a fresh approach to their positions as well as tremendous experience and enthusiasm."
As Game Operations and Sales Manager, James Helm will work to maximize the overall "fan experience" at Stingrays home games and participate in the team's tickets sales drive for both season and group tickets.
Helm began his career by serving eight years in the US Marine Corps, after which he graduated from the Academy of Radio Broadcasting and put his voice to work both on radio and television. He gained valuable sales and marketing experience through a multi year stint with NASCAR. Before joining the Stingrays, James worked in a similar post with the Augusta Lynx.
Patrick Sullivan is in his first season as Ticket Sales Manager for the South Carolina Stingrays. He is responsible for prospecting and cultivating new ticket accounts for both group and season tickets and handling customer service for all of the team's season ticket and group ticket clients. Sullivan is a 2002 graduate of Appalachian State University. A native of Charlotte, NC, Patrick was trained in sports marketing and sales at Game Face Executive academy in Portland, OR.
The Stingrays travel to Augusta on Thursday night before returning to the North Charleston Coliseum to host the Charlotte Checkers on Friday, February 13 at 7:30. The Rays are currently in fourth place in the Southern Division with a record of 27-16-2.
