Checkers Launch New Web Site

(Charlotte, NC - Tuesday, February 10) The Charlotte Checkers organization is pleased to announce the launching today of its brand new web site. (http://www.gocheckers.com) The announcement is made today by Checkers President Jeff Longo. The site was developed by Pro Sports Media, a sports website development company, located in College Station, Texas. Pro Sports Media currently has over 50 professional sports teams under contract, with the Checkers its' fourth ECHL team to come aboard.
"We know our fans value a very sharp-looking and functional web site," quoted Longo. "We are happy to partner with Pro Sports Media to provide this for our fans. Our web site features many new enhancements including photos and bios of all of our players, a merchandise section and our very own auction section. Fans can also now purchase tickets on-line right from our site. We are also working to develop a full-scale, "season ticket holders" section with special exclusive information and features just for them."
Joe Scott, President of Pro Sports Media also commented on the company's new relationship with the Checkers. "We're excited to add the Charlotte Checkers to the list of professional teams we are now serving," remarked Scott. "The Checkers are now our fourth ECHL team in our family, and we look forward to a long and great relationship with their organization."
The new site was launched early Monday afternoon and will provide Checkers fans with all the essentials including news stories, game recaps, player roster, player photos, player bios, player statistics, ECHL standings, team schedule, promotional schedule, links to other sites containing Checkers stories, and the latest transactions. Additional features for the new site include a merchandise section, auction section, and the ability to purchase tickets online.
NEXT HOME GAME: The Checkers will play two games at home this week. Saturday night Charlotte will host the South Carolina Stingrays at Cricket Arena at 7:30 p.m. On Sunday afternoon the Checkers will entertain the Roanoke Express at 3:00 p.m.

TICKET INFO: All individual game tickets are on sale and may be purchased at the Cricket Arena Box Office, the Charlotte Coliseum Box Office, and all Ticketmaster locations. Tickets may also be purchased by phone by using a credit card and calling Ticketmaster at (704) 522-6500, and through the Internet at www.ticketmaster.com.
Individual game tickets for the 2003-04 season are priced at $7.00 for balcony seats, $10.00 for end mezzanine seats, $12.00 for side mezzanine seats, $15.00 for circle seats, and $20.00 for box seats.
