IceGators and Komen Foundation team up

Louisiana IceGators News Release
Lafayette, LA â The Louisiana IceGators announced today they are teaming up with the Susan G. Komen Foundation to host a Date-A-Gator Bachelor Auction after the February 16 game against the San Diego Gulls. The game will start at 7:05 p.m. and the Auction will start in the Mardi Gras Ballroom approximately 30 minutes after the end of the game.
February 16 is Ladies Night at the Frozen Swamp, with all ladies receiving a Buy One Get One Free ticket discount. The drink special for the evening will be $2 margaritas. Following the game, The Date-A-Gator Bachelor Auction will take place in the Mardi Gras ballroom at the Cajundome. Several IceGators will be auctioned off for a date with the highest bidder. A portion of the proceeds from the auction will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation and Race for the Cure. The date will take place within two weeks of the auction and will include dinner at Copeland's.
On Wednesday, February 11, the IceGators team and staff will attend a screening of the Disney movie "Miracle" at 7 p.m. Tickets for the IceGators showing are available at the United Artists Theater on Kaliste Saloom. "Miracle" is based on the story of the 1980 Olympic Gold medal-winning USA hockey team. There will be a short autograph session with IceGators at 6 p.m., prior to the movie.
This week, the IceGators are making classroom visits at St. Pius Elementary School, to talk about growing up in other countries.
