Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL have announced that goaltender Scott Stirling and defenseman Chad Dameworth have each been loaned to clubs in the American Hockey League. Stirling will head to Portland (ME) while Dameworth will go to Manchester (NH).

Stirling, 26, begins his third stint in the AHL and his first this season. In 2002-03, the Hull, MA native played 11 games between Bridgeport and Worcester going 9-2 with a 2.56 goals against average and a .911% save percentage. Stirling currently leads the ECHL in wins, shootout wins, and goals against average. He recently tied the all-time franchise record for single season wins by a goaltender of 24.

Currently on a two-way contract with Bridgeport, the AHL affiliate of the New York Islanders, Stirling's loan to Portland had to be approved by the Islanders. Portland is the AHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals. Stirling will be reunited in Portland with former Bullies goaltender Matt Yeats.

Dameworth, 31, has 165 games to his credit between the AHL and International Hockey League with Cape Breton, Worcester, Orlando, Springfield, Detroit, Fort Wayne, Milwaukee, and Kentucky. His career AHL/IHL totals include 4 goals and 22 assists. Dameworth was signed by the Bullies on January 21 after being waived by Kalamazoo of the United Hockey League.

In other moves, Preston Mizzi and Jon Cullen have each been returned to the Bullies by Bridgeport and Hershey respectively.
