Greensboro Generals News Release

GREENSBORO—In an attempt to bolster the Greensboro Generals offense, Head Coach/General Manager Rick Adduono announced the signing of left-winger Paul Strand.

The 5-11, 190 lb., winger has appeared in one game this season with the Roanoke Express. Strand has netted 185 goals and registered 272 assists in both his college and professional career, which has spanned 483 games. Having scored 25 goals twice in his professional career twice (1997-98; 2000-01), he has also dished out a career-high 26 assists in similar fashion (1997-98; 1999-00).

"At this particular time we feel that we need more depth up the middle. I think that Paul Strand can bring that to the table for us, especially considering the playoff performance that he had last year in Cincinnati (15 games; 2 goals; 4 assists) he showed that he is still capable of being a solid player in the ECHL. Again we are bringing in some more experience to the lineup, and we are lucky in that he lives here in Greensboro and wants to help our team out. I am looking forward to his leadership in the lineup," Rick Adduono said of his newest acquisition.
