THIS WEEK'S GAMES Friday, Jan. 11 vs. Houston Aeros @ AT&T Center -7:00 p.m.
This game will be the seventh meeting (of 10) this season against the in-state rival ... The Rampage are 2-3-0-1 against Houston after winning the last meeting 6-1 on Dec. 29 ... All three losses against the Minnesota Wild affiliate have come when playing in Houston ... The Rampage have outscored the Aeros 15-8 when playing at the AT&T Center.
Sunday, Jan. 13 vs. Manitoba Moose @ AT&T Center-5:00 p.m.
The Rampage open their two-game series against the Manitoba Moose on Sunday ... It will be the first of four games scheduled this year between the two teams ... It will also be only the third game against a North Division opponent ... Manitoba (21-12-2-1; 45 pts) is 7-3-0-0 in their last 10 games, including a four-game win streak currently ... Last year, San Antonio split the series 2-2-0-0 against the Vancouver Canucks affiliate. SHOTS FROM THE POINT RAMPAGE OT WINNERS: The Rampage are coming off a 3-2 overtime win over Iowa on Jan. 5 as forward Chris Durno scored 20 seconds into overtime. The team is 3-2 in sudden death this year after going 4-2 in overtime last season. STRONG DEFENSE MEANS WINS: San Antonio is 20-4-1-0 when allowing three goals or less after beating Iowa 3-2 in OT last Saturday. COMING OUT SHOOTING: The Rampage have out shot their opponent in seven straight games. San Antonio is 10-6-1-1 when out shooting their opposition.
Ice Chips HOME SWEET HOME: The Rampage are 12-5-2-1 at the AT&T Center this season. Last year, San Antonio was just over .500 on home ice (19-18-1-2). COMPARING THE PACE: The Rampage picked up their 20th win by beating Iowa 3-2 in overtime on 01/05, which came in their 36th game of the season. Last season, San Antonio didn't win their 20th game until Feb. 6th, in their 50th contest.
Upcoming Promotions - Spurs Night - Jan. 11: The Rampage will wear specially designed jerseys featuring the Spurs logo on Friday. The commemorative jersey features four gold strips representing the Spurs' four NBA Championships. Various autographed Spurs memorabilia will be raffled off during the game, including a "Spurs" jersey signed by 2007 NBA Finals MVP Tony Parker.
