HARTFORD, January 7, 2008: Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the team has released forward Ryan Murphy and defenseman Matt Waddell from their Professional Tryout (PTO) agreements. Both players will return to the Wolf Pack's ECHL affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers.

Murphy has registered one assist and two penalty minutes in nine games with the Wolf Pack, and Waddell has four penalty minutes in 12 Wolf Pack contests.

The Wolf Pack hit the road this week for games Friday and Saturday in Norfolk (7:15 PM faceoffs), and Sunday at Hershey (5:00). The Pack's next home game at the XL Center is Wednesday, January 16th vs. the Worcester Sharks (7:00).
