12.31.07 - Worcester 3 - Manchester 2 - Verizon Wireless Arena
In perhaps the most thrilling regulation ending in franchise history, Lukas Kaspar scored after a great feed from Tom Walsh with just 2.1 seconds remaining to shock the Monarchs in Manchester. Graham Mink recorded three points (2-1-3), while Mike Iggulden and Devon Setoguchi each recorded two assists. Thomas Greiss made 21 saves in net for the victory.
1.2.08 - Worcester 3 - Hershey 1 - DCU Center
The Sharks played an excellent defensive game allowing just 19 shots against in the 3-1 victory vs. Hershey. T.J. Fox scored in the opening minutes after a homerun pass from Derek Joslin. Joslin and Graham Mink scored the other goals for the Sharks. Thomas Greiss made 18 saves in net for Worcester.
1.4.08 - Worcester 3 - Manchester 5 - DCU Center
The Sharks allowed three first period goals in a 62 second span and could not climb back as the Monarchs defeated the Sharks, 5-3. Nate Raduns scored two goals and added an assist, while Riley Armstrong scored his 7th goal of the season. The Sharks allowed two power play goals against the Monarchs top power play. Thomas Greiss made 19 saves in net for the Sharks.
1.5.08 - Worcester 4 -Providence 3 - Shootout - DCU Center
Worcester defeated the Bruins for the second time this season with a 4-3 victory at the DCU Center. Dan Spang, Derek Joslin, and Brad Staubitz all scored for the Sharks. The Bruins tied the game with an extra attacker with just 22 seconds remaining. Mike Iggulden and Graham Mink scored for the Sharks in the Shootout while Thomas Greiss stopped all four Providence shooters. It was the first time the Bruins lost in the Shootout in seven tries.
Sharks in the Atlantic...
The Sharks (16-13-3-2) swim in 5th place with 37 points in the Atlantic Division, five points behind the Falcons for 4th place in the division. The Sharks have played an AHL low 34 games which is five less than Springfield. The Sharks trail the Providence Bruins by 24 points for the top spot in the Atlantic.

* F Mike Iggulden is tops on the team with 15 goals, 21 assists, 36 points, and 85 shots.
* D Tom Walsh has assists in four straight games (0-5-5)
* The Sharks recorded three goals from their blue line (Spang, Joslin, Staubitz) in a 4-3 Shootout win over the Bruins on 1/5.
* Rookie F Nate Raduns recorded a career high three points (2-1-3) and was +3 in the 5-3 loss to Manchester on 1/4.
* The Sharks scored the first goal in seven straight games 12/22- 1/4 (3-2-2-0).

*Worcester to host the 2009 AHL All-Star Classic!
American Hockey League President and CEO David Andrews announced that the Worcester Sharks and the city of Worcester have been awarded the 2009 AHL All-Star Classic. The event will take place at the DCU Center in January, 2009. The 2009 event in Worcester will mark the fourth time since it was revived in 1995 that the AHL All-Star Classic will take place in New England. The AHL All-Star Game was last held in Massachusetts in 1959 at the Eastern States Coliseum in West Springfield.
Coming Up:
The Sharks hit the road this weekend with games in Providence on Friday and in Albany on Saturday. Worcester travels to Hartford on the 16th before returning home for a pair of games at the DCU Center on the 18th vs. Portland and on the 19th vs. Providence. The first 3,000 fans will receive a signed Lukas Kaspar hockey card on the 18th while the first 3,000 will receive a Joe Thornton Bobblehead Doll vs. the Bruins.
