
Lannon, Stone Recalled By Pittsburgh

WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled defenseman Ryan Lannon and center Ryan Stone from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced on Monday. Additionally, forward Joe Jensen has been reassigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton from the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL).
Lannon, 25, has appeared in 35 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season, recording nine points (2+7) and a plus-6 rating. In parts of three seasons with the AHL Penguins, Lannon has recorded 38 points (4+34), a plus-24 rating and 157 penalty minutes in 177 games.
The native of Grafton, MA, was selected out of Harvard by Pittsburgh in the eighth round (239th overall) of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
Stone, 22, has recorded 19 points (7+12) in 34 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season. In parts of three seasons with the AHL Penguins, the Calgary native has recorded 88 points (28+60) and 264 penalty minutes in 150 games.
Stone was selected by Pittsburgh in the second round (32nd overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
Jensen has recorded seven points (4+3) in nine games with Wheeling this season. He began the year with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, recording two points (1+1) and 23 penalty minutes in 18 games with the Penguins before being assigned to the Nailers on December 11
Jensen was selected by Pittsburgh in the eighth round (232nd overall) of the 2003 NhL Entry Draft.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton returns home this week to host the Lake Erie Monsters (Wednesday, January 9), the Hershey Bears (Friday, January 11) and the Philadelphia Phantoms (Saturday, January 12). All games start at 7:05pm.
