Moose release Slattengren from PTO

The Manitoba Moose, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, announced they have released forward Aaron Slattengren from his pro tryout contract.

Slattengren, 26, appeared in five games with the Moose after signing a pro tryout contract with the team on Dec. 26/07. In 27 games so far this season with the Augusta Lynx of the ECHL, the Duluth, MN native has scored 20 goals and 12 assists for 32 points and is tied for sixth overall in scoring in the ECHL while his 20 goals is second in the league. In 85 career games in the ECHL with Augusta, Phoenix, and Idaho, Slattengren has 41 goals and 35 assists for 76 points and 44 penalty minutes. Slattengrean has also appeared in six AHL games in his three-year pro career with Portland and Iowa. He has three assists and four penalty minutes in that span.
