San Antonio Rampage News Release
UGLY HOLIDAY SWEATER NIGHT: Fans are encour- aged to dig through their closet for the loudest, ugliest holiday sweater they can find and wear it to the Rampage game tonight for a chance to win a $200 shopping spree to any Simon Mall and many more great prizes.
ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT WEEKDAYS: Tonight and Wednes- day fans can get the All-You-Can-Eat package for $20 and includes a game ticket and bottomless popcorn, soda, nachos, peanuts and hot dogs.
NEW YEAR'S EVE/$1 DRINK NIGHT: On New Year's Eve fans can enjoy a KISS ROCKS $1 DRINK NIGHT featuring $1 draft beer and $1 fountain soda.
LONE STAR FACEOFF: The Rampage look to gain some ground in the Lone Star Faceoff standings with a win tonight. The Stars have gained control of the lead with 13 points, while Houston has racked up 12 points. The Rampage trail by four with nine points. San Antonio is 3-1-0-0 when facing Houston and hold a 1-3-1-0 record against Texas.
OFFENSIVE DEFENSEMAN: Garrett Stafford is tied for the fourth highest point total among AHL defensemen with 22 points on five goals and 17 assists.
A BIG PLUS: Rampage defenseman Chris Summers owns a plus-11 rating which leads the Rampage and ranks fourth among AHL rookies.
MACLEAN WATCH: Brett MacLean is two games behind Sean Sullivan (183) and seven assists behind David Spina (78) to become the all-time franchise leader in each category.
ICE CHIPS: Ray Edwards- Head Coach
Head coach Ray Edwards is serving his first full season as head coach of the Rampage and has led the team to their fastest 20 victories in franchise history claiming their 20th win with a 5-4 shootout win over Manitoba on December 11.
Last season Edwards took over the reigns on Nov. 23 and has since posted a 52-31-4-6 in 93 games as head coach of the Rampage.
Edwards spent three season as an assistant coach for the San Antonio Rampage before taking over as head coach. His resume includes coaching 188 Central Hockey League and 199 ECHL contests.
THIS WEEK'S GAMES
Monday, Dec. 27 vs. Houston Aeros
AT&T Center, 7:00 p.m.
The Rampage look to extend their winning streak to three games as San Antonio currently holds a 3-1-0-0 record over the Aeros.
Wed, Dec. 29 & Fri, Dec. 31 vs. Oklahoma City Barons
AT&T Center, 7:00 p.m.
The Rampage will host the Barons for the first time in franchise history with consecutive contests. They are undefeated against Oklahoma City winning all three games thus far.
Saturday, Jan. 1 @ Houston Aeros
Toyota Center, 7:35 p.m.
The Rampage play the second game of a three-in-three series by travelling to Houston to face the Aeros as they compete for points in the Lone Star Faceoff.
Sunday, Jan. 2 @ Milwaukee Admirals
Bradley Center, 5:00 p.m.
The Rampage travel to Milwaukee for the first time this season after splitting two home games with the club earlier this season for a 1-1 record.
