MetLife Auto and Home Rally Towel Night

Tomorrow (Tuesday) is MetLife Auto and Home Rally Towel Night. The first 2,500 fans will receive a Pirates rally towel, courtesy of MetLife Auto and Home. Snoopy will also make an appearance at the game, and kids can meet and have their pictures taken with the famous Peanuts beagle.

It's a Pirates Student Achiever Night. The Pirates Student Achiever Program is a collaborative effort between the Pirates and over 250 New England schools rewarding students for their hard work in and out of the classroom at six designated games throughout the 2010-2011 season. Come to the game right after work and enjoy great food and beverage specials in the Civic Center's Penalty Box Grill, which will open at 4:30 p.m., as well as the following Pirates partners: Rivalries, Siano's, Gritty's, Nosh Kitchen Bar, Binga's Stadium, Dogfish Café, Walters and Yosaku.

Maine at Work, Pirates Feature

Fans, check out the Maine at Work feature in the Portland Press Herald on Monday, January 3rd when Bob Keyes reports on his day as a member of the Pirates.

Keyes, an arts and entertainment reporter at the Press Herald and a local rec league goaltender, was signed by the Pirates to an Amateur Tryout on December 7th and spent a day as the Pirates third goaltender, which included participating in the game day skate.

New Year's Celebration

Before heading out to your own New Year's Party, bring the whole family to the Cumberland County Civic Center on December 31st at 5:30 p.m. and watch the hometown Pirates take on the Atlantic Division rival Connecticut Whale.

WGME 13 and WJBQ present the annual Kid's New Year's Game. The game, an expected sellout, will mark the 16th season the Pirates have celebrated New Year's featuring New England's largest indoor fireworks display at the conclusion of the game.

Pirates Recap

The American Hockey League announced Sunday that the Pirates game against the Worcester Sharks, scheduled to be played at the DCU Center in Worcester, Mass., was postponed due to impending inclement weather.

The game has been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. ET.
