THIS WEEK'S GAMES
Friday, Oct. 8 vs. Chicago Wolves AT&T Center, 7 p.m.
The Rampage will host their season opener of the 2010-11 season against the Chicago Wolves. Last year, they posted a 1- 6-0-1 record against the Wolves with their lone win being at home.
Sunday, Oct. 10 vs. Texas Stars AT&T Center, 3 p.m.
The Rampage will play their second game of the season as they face the Texas Stars. They went 4-6-2-0 against this team during the 2009-10 season and fell to the Stars, 2-1, in a preseason game on Thursday.
KISS ROCKS $1 DRINK NIGHT: Every Friday fans can get $1 draft beer and $1 fountain soda.
SUNDAY FUNDAY: Every Sunday fans can enjoy a free pregame skate 2 hours prior to faceoff. Fans can also purchase a $10 ticket that includes a free hot dog, chips and soda.
ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT WEEKDAYS: Every week- day game fans can get the All-You-Can-Eat pack- age for only $20 and includes a game ticket and bottomless popcorn, soda, nachos, peanuts and hot dogs.
NEW COACHING STAFF: After taking over as interim head coach on Novem- ber 23, 2009, Ray Edwards is now officially the head coach of the San Antonio Rampage. New additions to the coaching staff also include assistant coaches Jeff Truitt and Brian Pellerin.
2009-10 SEASON HIGHLIGHTS: Last season Brett MacLean led the team in scoring with 65 points and became only the fourth single season 30-goal scorer in franchise history.
FAMILIAR FACES: The Rampage have 13 players returning to the team for the 2010-11 season. Among them are defensemen Jonas Ahnelov, Nick Ross, Jeff May, Chris Summers and Mathieu Brodeur, and forwards Brett MacLean, Alexandre Picard, Colin Long, Josh Lunden, Ryan Weston, Viktor Tikhonov and Ryan Hollweg.
AROUND THE WORLD: The Rampage currently have 27 players on this sea- son's roster hailing from all over the world. The roster mostly consists of play- ers from Canada with 15 while only nine players are American, including three from California and one from Arizona. There are three players from Europe with hometowns in Sweden, Denmark and Latvia.
DRAFT TALENT: The Rampage have five first round draft picks on their cur- rent roster, including: Mikkel Boedker (8th, 2008), Alexandre Picard (8th, 2004), Viktor Tikhonov (28th, 2008), Chris Summers (29th, 2006) and Nick Ross (30th, 2007).
