Coors Light Opening Night This Saturday

The 2010-11 Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguin season gets underway this Saturday, when the Penguins and the Hershey Bears face off on COORS LIGHT OPENING NIGHT at 7:05pm.

The Penguins begin their 12th season of play in the American Hockey League by taking on their biggest rival, the defending Calder Cup champions.

The first 5,000 fans through the gates at the Mohegan Sun Arena for COORS LIGHT OPENING NIGHT will receive a free magnetic schedule, courtesy of Geisinger Sports Medicine. And everyone in attendance will have the chance to win two tickets to the 2011 Bridgestone Winter Classic, which takes place at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh on January 1.

DOLLAR DOGS AND DRAFTS

Dollar Dogs and Drafts are back for the 2010-11 season. Every Penguins Friday night home game will feature dollar dogs (while supplies last) and select draft beers for just $1.00 from 6:00pm-7:30pm.

The first Dollar Dogs and Drafts night takes place on Friday, October 22 when the Penguins take on the Hershey Bears at 7:05pm. Get your tickets now at the Pennstar Box Office at Mohegan Sun Arena, online at ticketmaster.com, and by phone at 800-745-3000.

PENGUINS FACEOFFF PARTY

The Penguins 2010 FACEOFF PARTY will take place on Wednesday, October 20 at Bar Louie inside the Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs. The party gets underway at 6:00pm.

This premier event will give you an exclusive opportunity to meet and greet the entire 2010-11 Penguins team as they embark on their quest for the Calder Cup!

The cost of the event is $20.00 per adults and $10.00 for fans under 18 years of age. This event will include a buffet-style dinner featuring food stations. Giveaways and autograph opportunities will round out the evening's events.

All proceeds will benefit the Penguins Charity Fund.

Because this is a charity event all alcoholic beverages will be available on a cash basis.
