SHOTS FROM THE POINT 08-09

ROAD TRIP REPORT: San Antonio went 1-0-1-1 earning 4 points while play- ing three straight over the weekend. Sunday's win in Rochester moved the Rampage past idle Quad City into 7th place in the West. It's the first time San Antonio has not been in last place since the season began.

COMEBACK KIDS: San Antonio had not come back from a two goal deficit all season. That is, until Friday, when former college teammates Chad Kolarik and Kevin Porter each tallied third period goals forcing overtime. The Rampage lost but earned their first point of the Rodeo Road Trip.

COMEBACK KIDS II: San Antonio made it two straight games overcoming third period deficits when rookie Viktor Tikhonov scored with forty-eight sec- onds remaining in regulation as the Rampage earned another point before falling in a shootout. San Antonio was 2-23-0-0 when trailing after two frames before the weekend began.

RAMPAGE TURNOVERS: With recent call-ups of captain Jeff Hoggan, Joel Perrault, David Schlemko and Steven Goertzen, San Antonio has a completely new look. The Rampage have added Adam Perry, Justin Kinnunen, Igor Gongalsky, Steve Ward and Viktor Tikhonov in the last week alone.

RUSSIAN AHEAD: The Rampage are getting the services of Viktor Tikhonov Jr., grandson of the legendary U.S.S.R coach of the same name and a Phoenix Coyotes 2008 1st Round Draft Pick, while on rehab. Tikhonov Sr., was the Olympic Head Coach when the United States upset Russia in the 1980 Olym- pic Winter Games, nicknamed "Miracle on Ice", in Lake Placid, NY.

Upcoming Promotions

Military Appreciation Night, Feb. 28: The Ram- page will pay tribute to the men and women who have served and are currently serving our country by wearing a special jersey that will be auctioned off after the game. All proceeds will benefit Opera- tion Comfort. Fans can purchase Seats for Sol- diers by calling 444-5554.
