Hamilton Bulldogs News Release
The Hamilton Bulldogs (American Hockey League affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens) will face off against East Division opponents in all four games this week. On Wednesday, February 11th the Bulldogs will take on the Hershey Bears (AHL affiliate of the Washington Capitals) at 7:00 p.m. at GIANT Center. On Friday, February 13th Hamilton will travel to Norfolk to compete against the Norfolk Admirals (AHL affiliate of the Tampa Bay Lightning) at 7:15 p.m. at the Norfolk Scope. The Bulldogs will then square off for the first time this season against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (AHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins) on Saturday February 14th at 7:05 p.m. at Wachovia Arena. Wrapping up the week the 'Dogs will head to the Wachovia Center for a match-up with the Philadelphia Phantoms (AHL Affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers) on Monday February 16th at 5:05 p.m.
The Bulldogs went 2-1-0-0 at home this week, bringing their record to 30-19-2-0. The 'Dogs continued suffered their third loss in a row on Wednesday, February 4th coming up short in a 2-1 loss to the Syracuse Crunch. Hamilton bit back on Friday, February 6th with a 3-2 overtime victory over the Binghamton Senators. Finishing the week on Sunday, February 8th the Bulldogs earned a 1-0 shutout victory over the Lake Erie Monsters.

- Montreal Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey announced February 4th that defenceman Alex Henry has been reassigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League
- Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Julien BriseBois announced February 2nd that the club has signed left wing Andrew Conboy to an AHL contract for the remainder of the 2008-2009 season
- Forward Tyler Shelast was reassigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs from the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL on February 6th
- Bulldog G Marc Denis earned his fourth shutout of the season in Sunday's 1-0 win over Lake Erie
- Hamilton D Yannick Weber tallied two goals in Friday night's game making him the first Bulldogs defenceman in franchise history to score more than 10 goals in one season
- D Dan Jancevski recorded his 64th assist as a Bulldog in Friday's game. He is now the all-time leader in assists by a Bulldogs defenceman

ALUMNI WATCH:
There are over 40 former Bulldogs currently in the NHL at this time. Over 60 percent of the players on Hamilton's all-time roster have played in a minimum of one NHL game. Three former Bulldogs head or assistant coaches (Doug Jarvis, Claude Julien, and Geoff Ward) are currently in a coaching capacity in the NHL. Here are a few highlights and accomplishments of ex-'Dogs from this past week:
- Montreal RW Matt D'Agostini picked up one point this week with a goal in a 5-2 loss to Toronto (Feb. 7)
- Montreal LW Max Pacioretty scored two points this week with an assist in a 4-2 win over Pittsburgh (Feb. 3), and another assist in a 3-2 losing effort to Buffalo (Feb. 6)
- Boston G Tim Thomas recorded two wins this week, the first a 3-1 victory over Philadelphia stopping 25 of 26 shots on net (Feb. 4), and the second a 4-3 shootout win against Ottawa, stopping 19 of 22 shots on net (Feb. 5)
- Dallas C Mike Ribeiro earned five points this week with two goals and two assists in a 10-2 victory over the Rangers (Feb. 6), and an assist in a 4-1 win over Nashville (Feb. 8)
- Dallas C Steve Ott added five points this week with a goal in a 2-3 loss to Colorado (Feb. 5), a goal and two assists in a 10-2 win over the Rangers (Feb. 6), and a goal in a 4-1 victory over Nashville (Feb. 8)
- Montreal C Maxim Lapierre earned three points this week with a goal in a 4-2 victory over Pittsburgh (Feb. 3), an assist in a 3-2 loss to Buffalo (Feb. 6), and an assist in a 5-2 losing effort to Toronto (Feb. 7)

Fans can listen to every 'Dogs game this season on the flagship station of the Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Network, 'TALK 820'. All regular-season radio and online broadcasts will begin with a pre-game show 30 minutes prior to each scheduled game-time. Ellery Award-winning broadcaster Derek Wills calls the play-by-play of all 80 regular season games, while Al Craig provides the colour commentary for all home games and select road games.
In addition Cable 14 will air live broadcasts 12 of club's 39 home games at Copps Coliseum. In a joint venture with Mohawk College, Cable 14 will also broadcast the 27 Hamilton Bulldogs' home games not being shown live in their entirety as 'Dogs-in-an-Hour at 11:00 p.m. on the night of the game.
Cable 14 will also carry Rogers Television's live coverage of five Hamilton Bulldogs versus Toronto Marlies games at Ricoh Coliseum.

BULLDOUGS FOUNDATION: Ryan White was named as the Community Player of the Month for January. Throughout January, Ryan dedicated his time in support of various Bulldogs Foundation sponsored events. Despite his commitment to training and his hard work on the ice, Ryan managed to find time in his schedule to give back to the community by visiting schools in an effort to encourage and inspire youth throughout Hamilton.
Ryan White and Brock Trotter visited the Meadowlands LCBO for a PMA/Appletons Jamaica Rum promotion on Saturday, February 7th. Cedrick Desjardins and David Desharnais visited the Millcroft LCBO for a PMA/Appletons Jamaica Rum promotion on Saturday, February 7th.
