Marlies and Purolator Team Up to Shut Out Hunger

The Toronto Marlies and Purolator will host the Purolator Shuts Out Hunger food drive on Sunday, February 15 when they host the Springfield Falcons - AHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers - at 4 p.m. at Ricoh Coliseum. In conjunction with the food drive, the Marlies and Purolator present Matt Stajan bobblehead night for the game on Sunday.

Marlies fans attending the game are encouraged to participate by donating non-perishable food items or a cash donation to the Purolator volunteers stationed at the Ricoh Coliseum gates to help support Toronto's Daily Bread Food Bank. For each donation, fans have the chance to enter to win a VIP Game Day experience at an upcoming Marlies home game, autographed merchandise and Marlies prize packs.

Fans who donate to the food drive will also have the opportunity to have their picture taken with the AHL Championship trophy, the Calder Cup, courtesy of Purolator. The photographs will take place at Marlies Alley inside Ricoh Coliseum. The food drive will start at 2:30 p.m. and run until puck drop.

The Marlies will be presenting their seventh bobblehead giveaway this season on Sunday afternoon. The first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a Matt Stajan bobblehead, courtesy of Purolator when they enter through the gates.

The Marlies continue their 11-game home stand when they host the Syracuse Crunch - AHL affiliate of the Columbus Blue Jackets- at Ricoh Coliseum on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. for their second school day game of the season.
