
Rampage sign Ferraro, Paddock to AHL contracts

SAN ANTONIO (Mar. 2, 2007) - The San Antonio Rampage announced today that they have signed centers Chris Ferraro and Cam Paddock to standard player contracts (SPC). In addition, the Rampage released center Chris Korchinski from his professional try-out offer (PTO).
Ferraro, 34, has recorded 18 points (five goals, 13 assists) in 32 games with the Rampage since signing a PTO on December 26, 2006. The 13-year veteran began the year with Hartford where he appeared in one game with the Wolf Pack. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 1992 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Rangers.
Paddock, a North Vancouver, British Columbia native, is in his second stint with the Rampage. He signed a PTO on December 26, 2006, along with Ferraro, and has recorded one assist in 10 games with the Rampage. He was selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the fifth round (137th overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft and is in his fourth professional season.
Korchinski, 21, made his AHL debut February 25 against the Iowa Stars and has skated in two games with the Rampage recording two penalty minutes. The Rama, Saskatchewan native signed a PTO with the Rampage February 25, 2007.
