Knights Release Clear Day Roster

The Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights released their 22-man Clear Day Roster today.

According to AHL by-laws, only those players listed on a team's Clear Day roster are eligible to compete in the remaining six weeks of the 2006-07 AHL regular season and in the 2007 Calder Cup Playoffs, unless emergency conditions arise as a result of recall, injury or suspension. Teams may also add signed junior players or players on amateur tryout contracts but only after their respective junior or college seasons are complete.

Those players on the Clear Day list are:

Goalies: Curtis McElhinney, Brent Krahn

Defensemen: Adam Pardy, Tim Ramholt, Brett Skinner, Tim Hambly, Brett Palin, Brad Ference, Mark Giordano, Steve Marr

Forwards: Cam Cunning, Kris Chucko, Tomi Maki, Dustin Boyd, Justin Taylor, Carsen Germyn, Eric Nystrom, Derek Couture, David Van der Gulik, Warren Peters, Andrei Taratukhin, Brandon Prust

The Ak-Sar-Ben Knights continue their five-game home stand tonight when the Houston Aeros visit the Civic Auditorium for a 7:00 p.m. start. It is Faith and Family Night with a post-game skate with the team. Blue Bunny will be giving away ice cream treats, and the Trinity Church Terra Nova band will perform during the skate.

Tickets for all Ak-Sar-Ben Knights' games are on sale at the Omaha Civic Auditorium box office Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tickets also are available through all Ticketmaster outlets and by phone at (402) 422-1212. Kids 12 and under get in free with a paid adult on tickets purchased after 5:00 p.m. Other restrictions apply.
