Pirates Announce Clear Day Roster

Portland, Maine - Today the Portland Pirates announced their official clear day roster for the remainder of the 2006-07 regular season and the 2007 Calder Cup Playoffs. Each American Hockey League Clear Day roster consists of a maximum of 22 players.

According to AHL by-laws, only those players listed on a team's Clear Day roster are eligible to compete in the remainder of the AHL regular season and in the 2007 Calder Cup Playoffs, unless emergency conditions arise as a result of recall, injury or suspension. Teams may also add signed junior players or players on amateur tryout contracts, only after their respective junior or college seasons are complete. The complete 2006-07 Pirates Clear Day roster is listed below.

The Pirates return to action on Saturday, Hockey Night in Portland, March 3rd against the Manchester Monarchs at 7:05 p.m. Fans in attendance will receive Portland Pirates mini sticks courtesy of Time Warner Cable. Plus, fans can stop by the Time Warner Cable table to enter for a chance to win an HDTV! The Maine State Lottery Spin Wheel will also be at the game. Fans can purchase $10 worth of lottery tickets for an opportunity to spin the wheel to win great lottery prizes. Fans will also have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for the "Shirts Off Their Backs" raffle that will be held on Fan Appreciation Night on April 15th. Tickets will be available in the main lobby and cost $1 each or 15 for $10. The proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the Portland Pirates Foundation.
