Rampage Recall Ross from Las Vegas

SAN ANTONIO (November 27, 2010) - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Brad Treliving today announced that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has recalled defenseman Nick Ross from their ECHL affiliate, the Las Vegas Wranglers. Ross, 21, has skated in two games with the Rampage this season posting a plus-1 rating. He has three assists in eight games with the Wranglers this season.

The 6-foot-1, 194-pound defenseman played in 47 games with the Rampage last season posting two assists and 19 penalty minutes. The Edmonton, Alberta native recorded an assist and two penalty minutes in seven games with the Wranglers last season. He was selected by the Phoenix Coyotes in the first round (30th overall) in the 2007 NHL Draft.

The Rampage continue their three-in-three weekend series tonight against the Stars at 7 p.m. at Cedar Park Center. They return home on Sunday to face the Milwaukee Admirals at 3 p.m. at the AT&T Center. Sundays are Express-News Sunday Fundays in which fans can get a ticket, hot dog, chips and a soda, plus a free pregame skate two hours prior to faceoff for $10.
