The Houston Aeros (10-9-1-2, 23 pts.) play host to the Milwaukee Admirals (10-6-1-3, 24 pts.) for the first of six meetings between the teams this season. The Aeros have lost two in a row and are coming off a 5-3 loss at home vs. San Antonio last night. The loss, coupled with Milwaukee's 1-0 win at Texas, moved the Admirals one point ahead of the Aeros into fourth place in the West Division standings. Houston is 1-3-0-0 in its last four games which follows a three-game winning streak, the team's second longest of the season. Last night's win by the Admirals snapped a four-game winless slide (0-3-0-1), which interestingly came after a five-game winning streak.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

WESTWARD --- The Aeros are 8-8-1-0 against the West Division this season. Seven of the team's last 10 games have been against West rivals; Houston is 3-4-0-0 in those games.

PENALTY KILL UP, DOWN --- Houston's penalty kill finished the second 10-game segment of the season 41-for-45 (91.1%) after going 47-for-54 (87.04%) in the first 10. In the last four games opponents are 7-for-19 on the power play and have at least one PPG in four straight. Prior to Nov. 20-21, opponents had not scored PPG in back-to-back games.

HEATIN' UP --- Casey Wellman has a goal and an assist in two games since returning from Minnesota...Jon DiSalvatore has six points (3-3-6) in his last five games...Brock McBride has a goal and an assist in the last three games...Maxim Noreau has four points (2-2-4) in his last two games.

FOUR-SCORE --- When scoring at least four goals the Aeros are undefeated (6-0-0-0).

POWER-FULL --- The Houston power play, which was just 3-for-51(5.88%) in the first 10-game segment of the season, finished the second 10-game stretch 13-for-56 (22.2). The team has scored on the power play in four straight (9-for-32, 28.1%). Houston's two-goal power play effort on Nov. 26 ran their streak to five games with a power play marker, eclipsing the previous streak of the season (Nov. 5-9).

MULTI-POINT LEADERS --- Jon DiSalvatore and Max Noreau lead the Aeros with multiple points in four games each.

SCORE FIRST! --- Houston is 10-2-0-2 when scoring first this season and 0-7-1-0 when allowing the first goal. Both first-goal regulation losses have been against the San Antonio Rampage

FIRST-GOAL STREAK ---The Aeros have scored the first goal in 12 of the last 15 games and are 8-5-0-2 in those games. The Aeros scored the first goal in seven straight games (Oct. 29-Nov. 8) and were 4-1-0-2 in that span.

SHOOTIN' --- The Aeros are 8-4-0-2 when being outshot and 2-4-1-0 when outshooting their opponents. The Nov. 14 win at PEO was the first time this season the Aeros out shot an opponent and won.

SCHEDULE NOTES --- The Aeros close a 7-in-11 stretch tonight dating back to Nov.17 (4-4-0-2)... Last Sunday's game ended a run of four games in five days (3-1-0-0)...The Aeros just completed their longest stretch between home games of the season, a total of 12 days (Nov. 5 vs. TOR-Nov. 17 vs. CHI)....A total of 18 of Houston's final 27 games in the calendar year of 2010 are away from Toyota Center; The longest home-stand remaining in 2010 is four games from Nov. 26-Dec. 3.

RECENT ROSTER MOVES --- F Matt Kassian was reassigned by Minnesota on Nov. 26...D Justin Falk and F Matt Kassian were recalled by Minnesota on Nov. 24...D Marco Scandella was reassigned by Minnesota on Nov. 21...G Michael Ouzas was released from his PTO on Nov. 21...G Michael Ouzas was signed to a PTO on Nov. 19...D Justin Falk was reassigned to Houston from Minnesota on Nov. 18...D Bryce Lampman was signed to a PTO on Nov. 16...LW Robbie Earl was recalled by Minnesota on Nov. 13.

LAST GAME QUICK RECAP

The Houston Aeros scored a pair of 5-on-3 power play goals and added a late even-strength tally to close the gap but fell 5-3 to the San Antonio Rampage Friday night in front of 4,405 fans at Toyota Center. The Rampage, now winners of seven in a row, took a 3-2 lead into the third period and got the eventual game-winner 5:23 into the final stanza on Brett MacLean's power play goal. The Aeros pressed and got within a goal on Brock McBride's third marker of the season with 4:15 left but couldn't grasp the equalizer. Jed Ortmeyer extinguished Houston's hope to tie with an empty-netter at 19:46.
