San Antonio Rampage News Release

Rosemont, Ill. - The San Antonio Rampage dropped their first road game of their current six-game road trip Wednesday night, falling 2-1 to the Chicago Wolves at Allstate Arena.

After a scoreless first period, the Rampage looked to be on track to extend their three-game win streak and leap-frog over the Wolves in the West Division standings when Martin Sonnenberg fed Tim Jackman for the game's first goal.

Jackman was on a breakaway after coming out of the penalty box for an unsportsmanlike-penalty called at the end of the opening period. It was Jackman's second goal of the season and third point in his last four games.

Sonnenberg's assist extends his assist streak to two games.

Chicago's Karl Stewart gave the Wolves a shot in the arm at 13:57 in the second period assisting on their first goal before scoring the eventual game-winner later in the period at 18:23.

Rampage goaltender Brian Boucher completes his two-week conditioning assignment stopping 31 of 33 shots for the night before heading to Phoenix.

San Antonio (9-17-0-1; 19 points) rounds off their road trip in Manitoba where they will play a two-game series beginning Friday at 7:30 p.m.
