Binghamton Senators News Release

BINGHAMTON - The Binghamton Senators, in conjunction with American Food and Vending and Broome County, will celebrate the grand opening of the newly remodelled Arena Club on the third floor of the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena during the B-Sens games against Norfolk on Friday, Dec. 16 and Providence on Saturday, Dec. 17.

Broome County and American Food and Vending completely remodelled the Arena Club prior to the current hockey season with new flooring, walls, lighting and furniture. The modern setting is now a great place to relax and grab a bite to eat or a thirst-quenching drink during all events at the Arena. Included in the renovations were three new plasma screen televisions that will display a live closed circuit broadcast of all home B-Sens games, ensuring that fans will not miss a minute of the action while visiting the Club.

"The County has done a great job improving the Arena Club and helping make this one of the best smaller arenas anywhere," said Tom Mitchell, the Senators executive vice president of operations. "The remodelling has turned the Club into a very nice space that will be able to also host all sorts of functions."

Along with the aesthetic changes to the Arena Club, a new restaurant, The Arena Pub, will serve food and drinks during all events at the building. Highlights of the Arena Pub's menu include The Slasher, a one-half pound prime rib sandwich, and The Dogzilla, a one-half pound all beef kosher frankfurter. A kid's menu and nightly value meals will also be available at the Arena Pub, which will open one hour before faceoff and close one hour after the conclusion of each Senators game.

During this weekend's grand opening, fans will be able to purchase well drinks and wine for only $2.50 and beer drafts for $2 while enjoying complimentary nachos, veggie platters, pizza, cheese and crackers at the Arena Club. Anyone purchasing a drink either night will receive a raffle ticket and a chance to win some great prizes courtesy of American Food and Vending and the Binghamton Senators.

Now a great place to host any function, the Arena Club is available for corporate parties, management meetings, weddings, holiday parties and celebrations of all sorts. Call John Palmiter of Food Consultants at (607) 723-6376 for more information on reserving the Arena Club for your next function. Food Consultants, a division of American Food and Vending, will operate the Arena Pub.

Tickets are still available for both weekend games. Call (607) 722-SENS for ticket information.
