Bissonnette, Fernholm Return To Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL) have reassigned defensemen Paul Bissonnette and Daniel Fernholm from the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL) to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (AHL), it was announced on Wednesday.

Bissonnette, 20, has appeared in 10 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season, recording one assist, 17 penalty minutes and a plus-2 rating. The rookie from Welland, Ontario also seven points (1+6) and four penalty minutes in seven games with Wheeling this season. He was Pittsburgh's fourth round choice (121st overall) in the 2003 Entry Draft.

Fernholm, 21, is scoreless and minus-1 in three games with the Penguins this season. The first-year player from Stockholm, Sweden, has also posted four points (2+2), 18 penalty minutes and a plus-11 ranking in 19 games with the Nailers. He was selected by Pittsburgh in the fourth round (101st overall) of the 2002 Entry Draft.
