San Antonio Rampage News Release
SAN ANTONIO (February 15, 2011) - The San Antonio Rampage and San Antonio Youth Hockey Association invites boys and girls ages four to nine years old to the Northwoods Ice Center this Saturday, Feb. 19 from 3:15-4:15 p.m. for a Try Hockey for Free clinic to experience ice hockey for the first time and learn the basics of the sport in a fun, safe environment.
The Try Hockey for Free clinic is part of USA Hockey's Hockey Weekend Across America celebration, which runs nationwide Feb. 18-20. The Rampage, Jr. Rampage and Northwoods Ice Center have teamed up to provide the experience to children in the San Antonio area who have an interest in the sport and want to learn more about hockey. Although equipment is not required to register, children are encouraged to bring their own helmet, gloves (mittens) and skates. Northwoods Ice Center will provide skates for those who do not have their own pair.
Northwoods Ice Center is the official practice facility for the Rampage and home to the San Antonio Jr. Rampage, the Rampage's (AHL) youth hockey system.
To pre-register for the Try Hockey for Free event, please visit www.sanantonioyouthhockey.com or contact Amy Fritz at 210.488.8970.
