Jhonas Enroth Recalled from Portland

BUFFALO, N.Y. (February 15, 2011) --- Buffalo Sabres General Manager Darcy Regier announced today that goaltender Jhonas Enroth has been recalled from the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League.

This is the third recall of the season for Enroth (5'10", 167 lbs., 6/25/1988), who has an 18-14-1 record in 35 games with Portland, posting a 2.83 GAA and .910 save %. In five games with the Sabres this season, Enroth is 2-2-1, with a 2.90 GAA and .897 save %. He earned his first career victory in a 3-2 shootout at Toronto on November 6. Both of Enroth's wins have been in shootouts, making him the first goalie in NHL history to win his first two games via the shootout.

Enroth was selected by the Sabres in the second round (46th overall) of the 2006 Entry Draft.
