Albuquerque, NM - The Tacoma Rainiers (3-7) slipped to 1-3 on their first road trip of the 2022 season on Friday night in Albuquerque, as the homestanding Isotopes (4-6) dispatched the visitors in only two hours and 14 minutes by a 5-2 final.

Albuquerque led first for a third consecutive night. Fresh off his first career five-hit game, former Rainiers infielder Tim Lopes led off the game with a double and later scored on a groundout. It was 3-0 for the hosts after two innings, following a two-run double by Wynton Bernard.

In the fifth the Isotopes tacked on two more with three hits, featuring another Lopes double and an Elehuris Montero RBI single.

'Topes starter Zach Neal logged five innings for the winning decision, surrendering only one of Tacoma's three hits. He did not walk a batter, and struck out three. (Donovan Walton doubled in the fourth.)

Trailing 5-0 in the sixth, Tacoma's first run scored after a Mason McCoy leadoff walk and a Billy Hamilton RBI grounder, his first run driven in with the club. (Hamilton collected his first hit with the Rainiers in the eighth, a single.)
