Prince Albert drops overtime decision to rivals

Saskatoon, SK - Cameron Hebig recorded the game-winning goal just 25 seconds into overtime to give the Saskatoon Blades a 2-1 decision over the Prince Albert Raiders on Saturday night at the SaskTel Centre.

Layne Bensmiller scored the Raiders' only goal of the night as he connected on a breakaway setup by Jesse Lees in the third period.

Saskatoon got the game's first tally at the 3:44 mark of the first period when Logan Christensen found the back of the net. The Blades would not score again until overtime where Hebig ended the game.

Raiders' goaltender Rylan Parenteau kicked out 23 of 25 shots on goal, while Brock Hamm stopped 22 of 23 attempts.

The Blades outshot the Raiders 25-23. Prince Albert and Saskatoon were both 0-for-3 on the power play.

The Raiders fall in overtime for the second consecutive night and slip to 31-20-7-1 on the season, while the Blades boost their record to 22-33-4-0.
