Milwaukee Admirals News Release
Milwaukee, WI - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has signed forward Ryan Thang to a two-year, two-way contract
Thang recently completed his four-year collegiate career at the University of Notre Dame, ranking second on the team in both points (23) - for the third time in four seasons - and goals (9), while serving as captain in his senior season. As a sophomore in 2007-08, the Edina, Minn., native helped the Fighting Irish become the lowest-seeded team in tournament history to reach the NCAA National Championship Game, pacing them in goals (18) and game-winning goals (5), while ranking second in points (32). The 5-11, 189-pounder also led the Irish in goals (20) as a freshman in 2006-07.
After finishing his collegiate season, Thang was signed by the Admirals to an amateur try-out contract and has played in three games with Milwaukee, picking up his first professional point with an assist Tuesday night in the Ads 3-2 victory over Texas.
Thang and the Admirals return to the action on Thursday, March 25 when they host the Grand Rapids Griffins at 7:00 pm at the Bradley Center. Fans can order tickets by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Groups of ten or more people receive a minimum of $2 off of each ticket. For more information or to order group tickets call the Admirals office at (414) 227-0550.
