Winnipeg, MB - The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Manitoba Moose 7-1 on Wednesday evening. Five different Bulldogs had two-point nights including a two-goal performance by Brock Trotter.
Trotter opened the scoring 56 seconds into the game. Trotter received the puck from David Desharnais before deking past a Moose defender and snapping a shot past Manitoba stating goaltender Cory Schneider and into the top of the net.
The Moose tied the game 1-1 at 3:49 of the first frame. Jordan Schroeder fired a shot that was saved by Hamilton starting goaltender Cedrick Desjardins. The rebound bounced onto the stick of Lawrence Nycholat, who sent a shot past Desjardins and into the net.
Trotter added his second goal of the game at 7:22. Trotter raced in on Schneider before using a forehand-to-backhand deke move and depositing the puck between the legs of the goaltender and over the goal line. The âDogs earned their third goal of the game at 14:03. Ryan Russell received the puck from Desharnais before skating into the Manitoba zone. Russell dished a pass to Aaron Palushaj, who was skating towards the net. Palushaj tapped the puck past Schneider and into the back of the net.
