PrairieThunder Loses to Quad City 3-1 on Saturday Night

Although the Bloomington PrairieThunder out shot the Quad City Mallards 48 to 26, the Mallards of Moline prevailed 3-1 on Saturday night in the Quad Cities. The PThunder fall to 5-2-0 on the year while the Mallards improve to 4-4-0. Quad City goaltender Adam Russo, making his first start of the year, stopped 47 of 48 shots while rookie netminder Brad Phillips also made his first start of the year for Bloomington, saving 23 of the 26 shots he faced.

The Bloomington's lone goal came from John Snowden, his fourth of the season, with assists from Matt McIlvane and Brian Kaufman. For the Mallards, Darren McMillan scored the game winner at 7:39 of the third period. The other Quad City lamp lighters came from Eric Giosa and Tyler Shelast.

Bloomington is off until next Saturday, November 13th, when they travel to Wichita, Kansas to face original CHL foe, the Wichita Thunder, at 7:05pm.

The PrairieThunder's next home game is Wednesday, November 17th at 7:05pm against the Arizona Sundogs at U.S. Cellular Coliseum.
