Kannapolis, NC- April 22, 2015)- The West Virginia Power lost 10-5 to the Kannapolis Intimidators Wednesday at CMC-NorthEast Stadium. The Intimdators put together three three-run innings to take the series finale from the Power.

The Intimidators scored a run in the first off Power starter Alex McRae, but West Virginia evened the score in the top of the third inning. Jeff Roy reached on an infield single and advanced to third on two throwing errors by Kannapolis's starting pitcher Jordan Guerrero. A Cole Tucker sacrifice fly brought in Roy to tie the game at one.

Kannapolis answered with three runs on a Chris Curley home run in the bottom of the third inning for a four run lead. The Power got one run back in the top of the sixth on a run-scoring double by Michael Suchy, but the Intimidators again responded with a three-run frame in the home half of the sixth.

Suchy doubled in his second run of the game in the eighth to cut the West Virginia deficit down to 7-3. Kannapolis responded with their third three-run inning of the game for a 10-3 lead. The Power scored twice in the ninth to close the scoring.

McRae (1-1) allowed four runs on six hits over three innings. Guerrero (2-0), the reigning South Atlantic League Pitcher-of-the-Week, allowed two runs, one earned, on five hits over six innings. The loss game the series to Kannapolis two games to one and dropped West Virginia to 3-3 on their six game road trip.

The Power open a five-game, four-day series at home on Thursday with a doubleheader against the Lexington Legends. Gates will open at 5:30 with a first pitch in game one set for 6:05 pm.
