
Power Arms Toss Four-Hitter in 4-0 Victory

(Hagerstown, MD- April 29, 2015)- The West Virginia Power shutout the Hagerstown Suns 4-0 at Municipal Stadium on Wednesday evening. Dovydas Neverauskas, Yeudy Garcia and Montana DuRapau blanked the Suns on four hits, two walks and one error.
In the top of the first, Pablo Reyes doubled to left and advanced to third on a fly out. Taylor Gushue singled up the middle to plate Reyes and stake West Virginia to a 1-0 lead. Chase Simpson walked in the second inning and was driven in by Jeff Roy to extend the Power lead to 2-0.
Michael Suchy led off the seventh inning with his first home run of the season to advance the West Virginia lead to three runs. A Jordan Luplow sacrifice fly in the eighth closed the Power offense out with a 4-0 lead.
Dovydas Neverauskas (1-1) pitched five shutout innings, striking out three and walking two. The right-hander retired the final seven batters in a row in his best start of the season. Yeudy Garcia pitched the sixth, seventh and eighth innings, surrendering just two hits while striking out three. Montana DuRapau worked a perfect ninth to complete the Power's first shutout of the season. Luis Reyes (0-2) allowed the first two Power runs in the loss.
West Virginia and Hagerstown conclude this three game series on Thursday evening. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm at Municipal Stadium.
