JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Florida Marlins have announced a pair of roster moves that impacts their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Suns roster prior to this afternoon's game against the Mobile BayBears at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.

Right-handed starting pitcher Omar Poveda has been placed on the suspended list for three games due to conduct detrimental to the team. In a corresponding move, right-handed relief pitcher Chris Squires has been transferred from High-A Jupiter to Jacksonville. Squires, who pitched for the Suns in two games in early July, is 1-2 in the minors this season with a 4.61 ERA in 24 appearances for the Suns, Greensboro Grasshoppers, Jamestown Jammers, and Hammerheads.

The Suns roster now stands at 23, and a revised roster is attached.

The Suns and BayBears will play game four of the five-game series on Friday afternoon at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. Left-handed pitcher Jose Alvarez (1-4, 6.10 ERA) will pitch for Jacksonville while right-hander Charles Brewer (4-1, 3.03 ERA) will pitch for Mobile.
